Walmart is Coming to Beaverton, Portland et al En Masse

Over a month ago, we shared the news that Walmart was eyeing upwards of 17 new locations in the Portland metro area. Some of those locations would be for their full-sized Walmart Superstores, but most would feature their smaller “Neighborhood Market” stores which at around 40,000 feet, carry everyday items and are positioned more as a Safeway or Albertson’s competitor.
